You Said ‘Yes’? It’s Time to Have an Engagement Party

If you are reading this, you have already passed the proposal stage. Congratulations! And if you follow Cliff Richard, you’d know that this is the time to “tell everyone that you’re in love.” Gear up and tell the world that you’re “happy as can be” and flaunt the beautiful sparkler which is resting on your finger.

An engagement party is a fun event that brings your friends and family together. If you are imagining an event where you can share this most special moment of your life with the people you love, Crystal Ballroom is here.

Our modern ballrooms and tailor-made packages will help you organize an unforgettable engagement party. The proposal itself is overwhelming, and the excitement and the jitters that follow may not let you think through and plan a party. This is where the Crystal Ballroom team comes to your rescue. We have made up the following list to help you organize the party so that you can celebrate the big news with your family and friends.

1. Decide on the Host

Traditionally, the bride-to-be’s parents host an engagement party; however, it is completely acceptable to organize your own party. You can also have multiple parties, if your parents want to do things traditionally. Throw a more casual party for your friends, and let your parents arrange a formal setting.

2. Settle on the Budget

Regardless of how much money you have saved, wedding celebrations can leave a big hole in your pocket. So, it’s better to work out a separate budget for all events. Whether you are going to have a low-key event or a lavish celebration party, decide on a budget first, and then plan other things.

3. Prepare a Guest List

While you can invite as many guests as you want, you have to be careful of one rule. Generally, your guest list for an engagement party should be the same for the wedding ceremony. Keep in mind that the guests who will come to your engagement party will eventually attend your wedding too.

4. The Venue

Most couples do not wish to hold the engagement party at home. They want their celebrations to be big. Crystal Ballroom knows the art of decorating a venue. From elegant, sparkly chandeliers and incredible lighting to the overall decor of a venue, Crystal Ballroom can make your engagement party a royal affair. And for this, we recommend you to have your party at a venue that offers elegance and style.

5. Hire a Photographer

Just like wedding photos, engagement photos are also close to a couple’s heart. Hire a videographer or a photographer to capture the lovely moments of your soiree.
