When planning a corporate event and preparing the invitations to send out to the company and any guests that may be coming, you want to ensure that you’re providing all of the information that they need to ensure the event goes without a hitch. The team at Crystal Ballroom has played a hand in many corporate events, making us professionals when it comes to creating the invitations. Check out today’s blog post for all of the things that you should make sure to have clearly placed on the invitation for your event.

Location, Location, Location

It should go without saying that the location of your event is something that you should place on your invitation. This is a crucial part of making sure that all of your guests make it to the party itself, but also that they plan accordingly on how they’re going to get there and when to leave, etc. Putting the location on the invite is also going to be a resource when the event gets closer, and they need to resort back to the invitation.

What to Wear

A big part of the event that you’re organizing is going to be the decor and the atmosphere that you create, and a piece that plays into that is going to be the attire that your guests wear. If you have an idea of what you’d like for your guests to be wearing so that the event comes full circle, then you’re going to want to make sure that you provide them with the details that they need to prepare accordingly. If it’s a type of attire that can go one way or the other, like business casual, make sure that you specify what types of clothing pieces are going to be okay and which ones are going to clash.

For some parties, the event is going to take place at one location and only include of a few different things, but that’s not the case for all. If the event that you’re hosting is going to have pieces of the event that you don’t want team members to miss, then it’s good to incorporate some type of itinerary in or along with the invitation.

Adding an itinerary to your invitation can also help keep people accountable for what time they arrive at. If you’re going to leave some time available for mingling and cocktails but would like for everyone to be there before an award ceremony or announcement, then make it known on the invitation.

Providing your guests with the information that they need to help ensure that this event goes without a hitch is the best way to determine whether or not you need certain pieces of information included. There’s no such thing as too much information!
